A Story

Through Ocean Eyes is a visual exploration of growth, pain, discovery, and emotion—the quiet, shifting landscapes that exist within us.

Through a collection of figures and fleeting moments, the work invites a closer looking. A pause. A question. What lives beneath the surface of another person? What remains unseen? What might we recognize in someone else that we have yet to recognize in ourselves?

I believe empathy is among the most beautiful forms of human connection. It asks us to linger a little longer—to look beyond what is given, to feel beyond what is familiar, and to make room for the parts of one another that cannot always be spoken.

Perhaps these figures are strangers. Perhaps they are reflections.

Perhaps they are fragments of something we have all known—grief, longing, becoming, or simply the quiet weight of being here.

For it is our capacity to feel—to hurt, to wonder, to grieve, to love—that makes us human.

And perhaps, if we look closely enough, we may find that we are not so different after all.

Through ocean eyes.
